“Art is a magic that turns emptiness into impressions, and mundaneness into wonder. It lives in our every movement, silently telling what cannot be expressed in words.“

Svitlana Dzedzei

I try to create allegories of feelings that we encounter in our life every day, to convey emotional experiences and those moments that we would really love to experience. My paintings are a reflection of human expectations, desires, suffering and struggle as well as joy and serenity. Often in my pictures you can see the beauty of nature, the perfection of which is impossible to stop admiring.

I was born in Drohobych the picturesque town in Ukraine. Besides I have been fascinated by art from early childhood, and graduated from art school and Art College. I have learned to continuously keep developing my talent, to constantly be open to new ideas and opportunities. Furthermore, I allow my thoughts to flow to new and unexpected ideas that help me express my inner world.
I can describe my work as impressionistic. Admiring the artists of this era, when the impression of the image is more important than the photographic vision of the moment. I have always been inspired by paintings where everything could be conveyed with just a hint of a brushstroke.

My passion is painting with oil paints, because the flexibility of oil paints allows me to use different approaches to painting, combining detailed elements with watercolour.

In my creative biography, I had time when I was worked in interior and furniture design. However, after 20 years, I returned to painting, in which I can communicate directly with the audience.

Since 2016, I have held 14 personal exhibitions and participated in 4 joint exhibitions in Ukraine. I also held 2 personal exhibitions in Great Britain. I actively participate in art festivals, and I am a current member of the Union of Artists in Great Britain, where I currently live. Here, articles about my activities were published in Shropshire magazines.

Some of my paintings have also been included in the 2024 Chronology of Art book by the Thames & Hudson.

In 2024, I have begun to study graphic design professionally, and I do not know how this will affect on my artistic creativity.

What my next works will be - even for me, it remains unknown. However, my dreams, which I have been carrying for several years, will undoubtedly find their realization.
